  Case Study

Owner: A & D Holding
Project: Restoration of the interior and frontage of an old factory, plus a separate building composed of 3 floors with basement. Total of 136 offices owned by the same pharmaceutical company.
Location: Bucharest, Romania.
Time: Completion 2002.
   
1st Contact: Local person in charge of the project submits the existing plans of the project with a video clip.
The primary task was the resolution of seismic issues of importance in Bucharest, by planting vertical and horizontal pillars, thereby dividing the factory structure into 3 floors.Sketches & Plans
2nd Contact: Direct meeting with the owners of the company to clarify remarks on the proposed offices needed. (Light coloring, optimizing the number of offices, storage space, meeting rooms, etc…)
Repeat plan measurements and photos of the actual offices. Photos
1st Study: A preliminary study of the frontage plus an internal distribution of functions are submitted. Sketches & Plans
Note: A limited number of openings for zenithal light due to wall thickness and number of pillars.
2nd Study: Following customer comments, details of the general ambiance are presented.Sketches & Plans

c. General furniture drawings were also completed, since clients owned a carpentry. Sketches & Plans
Start of Execution: Rigorous surveillance was imposed by our offices, since we anticipated poor quality in the local execution.
Accessories: Accessories were finally chosen to complete the project. (chairs, lighting, disposables, office accessories, etc…)
